Romance is in the air - I'm officially the flower of love! My name derives from the Greek agape (meaning love) and anthos (flower). My ancestors were once native to southern Africa, but now I'm found all over the world. I brighten up any courtyard, patio, or border. Give me a good drink during hot weather and I'll reward you with gorgeous star-shaped flowers during the summer.
Agapanthus
My stems are between 75cm to 100cm tall, and my leaves clump to about 50cm high and wide. Each year I might add another flower stem and my clump will grow a little wider, but I won't grow much larger.
