I'm a lovely compact evergreen and my exotic bright red fluffy flowers will brighten up any courtyard, patio, or border. I'm very happy in pots. I trace my ancestors to Australia, and you can find me in many people's gardens there. Like many Australian plants and flowers, I grow quite happily in Britain. I get my name because some people think my fluffy flowers look like bottle brushes.

Back home in Australia I can grow 25cm a year and up to a few metres tall. Don't expect anywhere near that rate of growth here in Britain. In a good spot I might add a few centimeters - maybe 10cm - of height and spread each year.
