I brighten up any courtyard, patio, or border. Give me a good drink during hot weather and will reward you will gorgeous flowers during the summer.
I'm not actually a lily, but it's true that my flowers often only last for a single day. Luckily, I produce a lovely succession of blooms all summer, so don't worry if my flower falls, a new one will quickly replace it. I'm originally from east Asia, but am super-tolerant of pretty much all weather and soil conditions, and I will be happy wherever you plant me.
Hemerocallis (Day lily)
I form a clump at my base, and each year the clump will grow a little wider. During the summer you can expect tall flower spikes between 50cm -80cm tall.
